“the cities of western europe have historically been characterized by a strong association between social cohesion and economic growth, which today seems compromised by the growth of social and economic inequalities, on the one hand, and the intensification of new forms of urban segregation, on the other. the research investigates the different forms of the relationship between cohesion and economic growth in specific urban contexts, offering a selection of social and economic indicators and analyzing them from a perspective both static and dynamic.”

“le città dell’europa occidentale sono storicamente caratterizzate da una forte associazione tra coesione sociale e crescita economica, che appare oggi compromessa dalla crescita delle disuguaglianze sociali ed economiche, da un lato, e dall’intensificazione di nuove forme di segregazione urbana, dall’altro. la ricerca indaga le diverse forme del rapporto tra coesione e la crescita economica entro specifici contesti urbani, proponendo una selezione di indicatori sociali ed economici e analizzandoli in una prospettiva sia statica che dinamica.”
