all-season bath / neumarkt i. d. opf.

starting point for the design concept of the new all-season bath neumarkt i.d. opf. is the existing outdoor swimming pool with its characteristic topography and the valuable stock of old trees.
the existing bath represents a "green oasis" in the city-area which needs to be protected. the new bath building encloses it like a ring and so markes the new transition between urban space and landscape space.
the consistent exploitation of the topography and the visual interconnection with the green space creates a kind of "built landscape" matching harmoniously with the environment.

ganzjahresbad / neumarkt i. d. opf.

ausgangspunkt für das bebauungskonzept des neuen ganzjahresbades neumarkt i. d. opf. ist die bestehende freibadanlage mit ihrer charakteristischen topografie und dem wertvollen baumbestand.

gleichsam einer "grünen oase" im bebauten stadtgebiet, die es zu beschützen gilt, legt sich das neue ganzjahresbad wie ein ring um die bestehende anlage und markiert auf diese weise den neuen übergang zwischen stadtraum und landschaftsraum.

durch konsequentes ausnutzen der topografischen gegebenheiten sowie der visuellen vernetzung mit dem grünraum entsteht eine art "gebaute landschaft", die sich in ihrem maßstab in das bestehende ensemble einfügt.
